Planned to do some work on the 931 this weekend but ended up just driving it a bit and taking a few shots of the car and the pooches playing around it.

Mostly gave it a clean and fettle. Managed to break a sunroof clip though. :(

Got the dash cap (thanks Rav) fitted after spending ages trying to get the colour match correct against the brown dash. It looks a million times better than the cracked and warped dash that was on display before!

Bit of washing and polishing then roof off and out to make the most of Oxfordshires finest back roads :-)

Not sure how to put this but.... It's twins :) well nearly! Boxster and 944 Cab delivered safely this evening to complement the 924 and 968.... I'm now in transaxle heaven :D

The drive is a bit full but the Jag is now just waiting until her new owner picks her up on Tuesday :)

She has made the trip to a specialist to have engine mounts, oil cooler seals, gearbox oil change and various bits and pieces sorted on her. Very much looking forward to driving her as mechanically sound as she's been in some 20 years I'd guess.

A cracking day indeed at the Manchester Classic Car Show at Trafford Centre with loads of interest in the cars including the Stig

The Rothmans 924 had to stay overnight last night so took the Boxster for today although it's amazing what else you come across in the car park!

And inside the stand looks fantastic!

Even the Stig took a shine to the Rothmans - racing seats and harnesses making him feel right at home!

Had a dinner party around the 931 to celebrate me finishing the wooden deck in front of my livingroom.

Tidied the Rothmans boot of all the crap I accumulated in the wheel well and side wells... Amazing what you can fit in there! Also re-tensioned the alternator belt with the help of my longest pry-bar and wife  I can now have all the lights on with rad fan and no squeal :woohoo:

Carried on with the plate lift on the 944 callipers.... damn they're stubborn :bang:

Image

This one was properly siezed.... Took various hammers and pry bars the tease the pad out but by bit... a major pita

Image

Poking around a bit more and then driving her, she'll need a new NSF outer sill Asap... front bumper needs realigning, both doors 'drop' when opened, central locking doesn't work on the key, radio doesn't work, battery isn't charging, callipers need a full refurb, front ARB needs a refresh with new bushes on order. I know the rear window needs replacing but worst is the mayonnaise that is present in the oil filler tube. No combustion smells in the coolant so hoping its old news... It's not too long a list though on a 27 year old car.

On a plus side, I found two pristine tool rolls in the 944 along with an immaculate Porsche compressor.... Almost, well not really, makes up for the other problems being discovered!

At the of it, the triplets do look good together :bounce:

MOT passed with two advisories! :D

Considering that the last MOT was a bit of a joke - done by the garage I bought it off and apparently passed with no handbrake, no horn, bushings falling out of their mounts etc, and previous to that it had been off the road for 15 years I was nervous for this one, turns out I had nothing to worry about!
