Dry carpet refitted today into a dry boot. Great help when the inside of the rear screen doesn't cover itself in moisture and fog up on every winter journey........the blue paper roll can be stood down!
I'll probably have another go with those bulbs when time and weather permits, maybe I had them on longer than 5/10 mins, I was fannying about sorting a few issues with the headlamp pod that had needed doing so the bulb may have been on for much longer with engine off and no charging than I thought. Next time I won't power them up with the engine off. Battery is back to rude health for the time being.

Do they look like the ones in the picture? There doesn't appear to be any ballast on them and no heatsink either. I'd be very wary about plugging them back in again, the Philips bulbs look like this -

They are alleged plug and play and I invested £17 to try them out. Here is what the vendor lists:
Amazing 10000 Lumens 5000 per bulb
Small design & High Brightness!
LED position is the same as the halogen filament bulb which gives a perfect beam pattern even in reflector headlights
High end design As bright as Xenon HID kit
+300% Brightness on standard halogen
Dont be fooled by cheap LED bulbs offering 300000 lumens. This is just not possible!
Technical:
Fanless design
Heatsink built in
1860 LED Module
I-Start 1.57A/12v
I-Stable 1.08A/12v

Decoders are only needed if your car has a CANbus system (shows error on the dash when a bulb is out) if you're not sure, Remove a bulb and start the car
