I know you like your bikes Paul , how about this interloper I'm storing for a mate . French 1929 , single cylinder side valve , hand gear change and thumb throttle .
But the best bit is something that BL must have paid for the rights to use in the 70's , a total loss oil system . Oil goes in the top through the engine and out through a pipe near the rear wheel . Can't see why it didn't catch on .

One to look at rather than ride I reckon Simon :). My 1299 has got 6 months Ducati warranty left on it, and as the roads where I've moved to here in Lincolnshire are crap for riding, I'm thinking giving up and selling it. :( I saw you post on Rennlist about having 5 16v engines? I reckon you should lend me one of them to use  .

I only have one spare engine, but I've had it for a long time, and it's in a lot of bits. Do I need therapy?

Finally fitted the BMW 750 MC this morning and re routed brake pipes as the fronts have to be T together to fit the MC and fitted a small bias valve as its a 50/50 split on the Bmw mc which would have back end round very quick first time you trod on the brakes . Big difference to feel as the pedal is so much higher and they feel stronger as a result .

I have changed the fuel pump on the other car as the one on there had gummed up with old fuel as it hadn't been started in a while and I am using a Sytec044 pump rather than the Bosch044 . If anyone thinks the Bosch pump is noisy try the Sytec !! Fortunately the ANSU injectors are so loud they block out everything else.

I was also going to change the belts and rollers on the other car but the sun came out so went for a drive instead !

I keep looking at that harness and thinking I don’t have enough space to even stretch it out.

I can possibly re-cover it and replace any really duff wires, but most of the crunching is from the casings

What do you think Simon, I can possibly replace the injector part of the harness as that seems to be a big failing point

After a reappraisal of my homemade dry sump pans and the problems people have had with oiling issues and bearings spinning , I decided to purchase a purpose designed sump pan .
This is from DRS in holland who make some very nice parts for the 944 , I am also using their crank pulley to allow the use of the large ATI damper ,
It turned up yesterday and it is quality , I find some parts need several coats of looking at and this is one , Machined from a solid billet block it is worth the expense I believe, over the cast pans ( although the wife might agree to differ if she found the receipt)
