Hi,

I have had the above car since 1984 and it has been in store for the last 6 years.

Its in the process of having its MOT.

The reason I stored the car was an overheating problem.

I had noticed the temp guage shoot of the scale at the trafic lights, I pulled over immediately
, turned of the engine, checked all the connections under the bonnet, then checked the fuse holder in the passenger well.

I found the fuse to be loose in its holder, I pinched these together, but I now I dont have the confidence in the car...

I seem to remember (or dream it) a friend fitted a kenlow fan to his 944 and had running permanently.

Is this the correct solution are there better one wthout incurring the debt of a third world nation...

Any advise will be great...

Cheers Kev

Change the fuse & clean & retension the holder. What happens is the fuse gets dirty & the high resistance generates heat which makes it looser etc.
Also check the relay & the sender & wiring.
