Last week my 2000 996 C4 drivers door lock started playing up. When I unlock it using the keyfob or key, the window drops down OK, but there is no "click" and the door doesn't unlock.
I can unlock the doort using the internal door lever by gaining access via the passenger side, so this would indicate the "Bowden" cable isn't stretched and the door microswitch is OK because the window goes down, Does anyone have any suggestions? (Apart from taking it to the garage?)

Not sure, but giving it a going over with some WD-40 might fix it. WD-40 often does!
