Cam housing gasket

Post by pauly »

I'm about to replace the gasket between the cam housing and head. AFAIK Porsche fits this dry, debating whether to add a smear of sealant at the front where it's prone to leaking?

Can't advise Pauly but keen to know as every one of mine has leaked at the front over the years (3 from memory) and mine will be getting done again soon when my engine goes back together.

Reckon some sealant it is then. Mines had a small leak for years, onto number 1 header and the undertrays.
