Wanted: 986 Headlight Switch

Today's Boxster pain is an intermittent headlight switch.........position 1 (sidelights) is fine.........position 2 (headlights) brings err 'intermittent' results. Sometimes headlights like you want.....but sometimes no change and just sidelights still

I have taken the switch out and given it a good clean with contact cleaner etc....but no change

I guess the next stage is to brave the snakepit of FleaBay for £50 'Russian roulette'. Unless anyone reading this can help me with better advice please! A new switch seems a way to go shall we say £££££££££
