Hi guys , I've recently rejoined the club after about a 12 year absence, my previous Car was a 944 s2 . I've decided I need a 996 in my life and have started the search for a suitable car , I'm looking for a later model a 3.6 hopefully . I had a look at one down in Ayr , had loads of history with it nearly all main dealer stamps but when I looked underneath sure enough there was oil leaking from what I assume is the rms . I asked the guy about it he said he didn't now anything about it ! Someone else must have put the rubber mat under it to catch the oil then
I will get a full inspection done on any car I'm keen on as it seems to be a real mine field of potential problems with these engines but I still want one
