I haven't tried the CF1 but I am probably going to fit a set of Toyo Proxes T1Rs to my S2, they have a noce pattern get some good reviews even if over priced due to popularity. Just waiting for a price from a local fitter before committing to them, one price was arounf £433 for all four 255/40/17 & 225/45/17. I can get them for around £300 from Camskill but then have to pay for fitting and balancing so if I can get them for similar all fitted I will. Good site for tyre reviews is http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk .

I've recently got some toyos fitted, R88s iirc. They are very grippy now, but they did take several hundred miles to really bed in. At first they seemed to accentuate tramlining over poor roads too.

Be aware also that black circles do not necessarily vet the tyre fitters all that well and be sure to take it to someone decent for the work..
