But... would you put a set of NS2's on your Porsche? Or, would you rather put a set of Falken's on there instead?

NO NO NO NO ...
I work in a tyre depot and these are the lowest rubbish that I have ever experienced, I had a set on a Morris Minor and they look the job but the road noise was horrendous(even on a moggie).
I also drove a customers Nissan car with them on and again so noisey it sounded as though a wheel bearing ..or 4 had gone.
Hancook are an unsung brand that are really good but I fitted Bridgestones on my 944 about 4 years ago and these have been excellent.

Specifically NS2's...? I run NS2's on my Mk2 Golf without any issue, but only because they're the only manufacturer that produces the size I needed.

What about the Falkens?

I run 18" Toyo Proxes on the 996 at the moment and they're great.

Just need some tyres for my 19's and looking around for an "economical" set...

I have run Falken 452 and now 453 on my 928 for years... at extremely high speed (they are rated Y which is 186 mph +

They are fantastic in the dry and good in the wet.....

I go through several sets a year but thats my fault lol (Nitrous launches)

I wouldnt fit ANY other make to mine...

I ran fallen 452s on my BMW and always found the excellent and over all had a good rep among the forums. Interestingly ns2s also got spoke about highly alongside the falkens so the advice from cocacola above surprised me?

I have just put a set of GT-Radial Champiro HPY on the 968, think they are good value for the money, good wet grip, quiet, slightly softer ride even though they are XL rated.

the best part no tramlining as they are an Asymmetrical design.

As above, I've run 18" Falken FK452 on both a BMW 330ci and a 986S. Fabulous tyres, reduced tramlining on the BM' markedly compared to the Pilot sports that it was on.

Have just removed a set of Bridgestone RE050A's from the 997 (which I quite liked. They are brilliant on Mrs FarQue's MX5) and fitted FK453. Ok, budget tyres (less than £400 for 4 x 19"'s) but I thought they were worth trying. So far: less harsh than the Bridgestones on potholed northern roads. Grip and feel has been fine on dry roads too but I'll be honest and report that I haven't pushed them particularly hard although we did have a run to North Wales with the club that was driven at err, 'tipec pace'... They've not been on track yet so I can't report on performance there. The Bridgestones were squealing well at Blyton recently and I was pushing reasonably hard, with only a few minor opposite lock actions required (warm and dry conditions).

I do need to add that I am neither a driving God nor a Michelin fanboy. So many people bleat on and on about Michelin being the only choice. I really don't get it. Check the new issue of evo magazine for this year's tyre test.

I had falkens 452 on my A8 utter useless aquaplaned like hell. Going on about Champiro G.T. i had them on a diesel Peugeot 505 with a big turbo on went like stink drove it like it was stolen very impressed with them that was years ago did not know they are still available.

How often have you experienced aquaplaning? In 29 years of driving (mostly in Cornwall where it rains a lot) I can honestly say I have only experienced aquaplaning once, on a Pistonheads run (curiously enough) in very, very, heavy rain. In a BMW, on Michelin Pilot sports. Sliding around in the damp is something totally different, however...
