ahhh trying to find a decent 944 convertible! ?

Post by HUBBA.HUBBA »

Looked at 3 cars, well 3 dogs! One drove superbly but the cabin was ultra tatty, one rust bucket and one with fair interior but drove terribly. All had very eliquent adverts and sounded good on the phone. Surely I can find a decent s2 convertible for £6k.

Similar experience here ! Spent 2 months driving and looking at poorly described (or just plain lying sellers!) cars.
They should be legally bound to pay you for lost time and expense!
Nearly gave up and thought they were all going to be growlers.
It is annoying when someone describes a car as a minter - when you then travel 2 hours - and what they actually meant was that it is full of holes !!!!!!!!!
But keep on looking - there are some nice cars about.
Best of luck Paul

I must have been lucky when I bought mine a couple of years ago. The first was a shed, but I bought the second one I saw - they are out there, especially with your budget.

If you want to look at mine as a point of reference, you're more than welcome. I mean if you want to know "is that supposed to sound like that" or "does that really belong there", then give me a shout. Would be happy to take you for a blast too. Not sure how close you are though. I'm near Cheltenham. BTW, mine's not for sale!

Cheers,
Bryan

Thanks for the offer. Im in Birmingham. 2 weeks ago drove to scotland (10 hr round trip), yesterday to Gloucester. All I want is a white or red one with black leather interior. I would even stretch to a turbo cab if one came about, in good nick and wasn't silly money. Now thinking of trying to source a full interior ready to swap out ( must be watching too many 'wheeler dealers' episodes!)
