Tyres - N Rated

Post by seedy »

Hi All

Where is the best place for me to purchase a pair of rears for my 2007 Carrera S?

I've been trying to search out a bargain, but so far to no avail....

Cheers

What sizes? Some sites have more of a certain size and can be cheaper.

Every man and his dog will tell you that tyres are cheapest wherever their local depot is... in reality I have found Camskills in Cumbria to be competitive on price and service, and Oponeo to be very good on prices for N rated Bridgestones. Fractionally slower delivery though.

ETA some folk say that their local OPC can be competitive on price, so that's worth checking. Bear in mind also that there are tyre fitters and there are tyre fitters... find someone who isn't going to destroy your precious rims!

I actually find that Tyrexpress in Merseyside are cheaper than Camskill. like you said, the trick is finding a good tyre fitter. :D

Bloody hell, Camskills are outstanding value! Tyre Express are not quoting on the tyre at the moment but as I am not in any great rush (circa 2k miles left) I'll revisit nearer the time.

There was another place that done mail order, everything was overnight from Germany. Do you remember who they were? I can't remember for the life of me?

I have had good success with a place called Lovetyres for my Beemer, and blackcircles for the n3's for my 944. Not the same sizes as you, but worth a try.

That's probably http://www.mytyres.co.uk (Delticom) - I've used them several times in the past and have always been very happy.

Always try your local tyre fitter. I got some Michelins fitted cheaper via my local guy that Camskill were doing them for (by the time delivery and fitting were accounted for). They were also balanced spot on etc. :).
