a sad end to the day's drive...

Post by GeeBeeMan »

996tt ground to a halt with brake problems :(

PSM failure.......drive to workshop and ABS failure

was in stop/start traffic at the time but on every re-start the braking system 'noose' seemed to tighten. couldn't limp to local garage - and had to await tow-truck

think it had freed itself by the time it was winched up - but the error messages remain. as well as my 'crest-fallen' worries of brake damage, tyre flat-spots, clutch damage etc etc

easy to say "I'd have stopped straight away" with hindsight - but what's done is done. we'll see

any suggestions what might be wrong please?

Really needs plugged into a computer to tell, but could be something as simple as the relay. Do you have a trusted Indy'?
