Southern Region go to Thruxton

Some members from Southern Region are going to a MG Car Club race meeting at Thruxton circuit on September 8th, final details,race times, etc are not yet available, but I will post them up as soon as I get them from MGCC, along with hopefully , special ticket pricing, parking, hospitality etc. I am told as a visiting car club, the possibility of parade laps at the event!

I am sure this will be a fun event, and we will run a convoy up from Ringwood, please advise if you wish to join us, or indeed meet us at the circuit. I will be able to secure special price advance tickets and parking but I will need payment in full in advance to secure. Will advise more info later. Just a quickie. have had a mail from Steve Carr, motor sports secretary from MGCC opologizing for not getting back to me with the running order , times etc. he is still waiting for his members to get back to him! sounds familier . As soon as I have the details, I will let you have them.

Hi Sean, there is more info now on the MGCC site, but is not the definitive info, I have just emailed Steve Carr, who I am sure , will be back to me shortly. I think he suffers from the usual car club frustrations, competitors cars not quite ready, weather, etc etc. will post as soon as I have more

think I had better let MGCC know that they are still in the past!! should know about ticket concessions tomorrow, although it seems even MGCC members only get a couple of pounds off normal prices

Okay guys, have update on this event, we will get £4 per ticket off the BARC rate, for tickets purchased in advance, so if you want tickets PM me , because I have to go through a convoluted system to get this deal, I think close off time for discount tickets must be 10AM Wednesday 5th Sept, to allow postage to arrive with me. Please PM me asap re this. I also have all the info re paddock access and preferential parking arrangements, its too complex to post up, but I will impart the pearls of wisdom to those who want tickets and PM me.

The pre ordered ticket deal is only going to be available to members using our convoy or meeting up with us en route , as we will not have time to transfer tickets before race day. Tickets I understand will still be available at the gate , at full price though

By the way Andrew, the Morgan race is not just Aero's, its all the lot we saw last Monday

Hi guys, tickets have been ordered for those members who are driving in the convoy to this event, I think if there are others who may wish to join us there is still a possibility to get concession tickets, but only by special delivery, otherwise tickets can be purchased on the gate, at face value, plus extra for paddock passes. Please PM me for details on this plus convoy info.

For those of you who have ordered tickets from me for this event, they have now arrived, and I will distribute on Saturday morning at Ringwood car park. Anyone who may like to join us on this event is welcome, our convoy from Ringwood is meeting up at 0800 on Saturday for an 0815 departure. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival at the circuit. I am sure this is going to be another great event, and all in fab weather!! just a shame my hood is broken(waiting for bits from Germany)
