Little bit of research

Post by poprock »

Time for a tiny bit of very informal market research.

Anyone who still has their copy of the last issue of All Torque (number 69, April): Have a quick look back at it and tell me what pages/articles you enjoyed the most. Also, for the flip side of that, what bits you didn’t like?

No big deal, I’m just curious. We’re starting to reach the point of having more submissions than we can fit into each issue, so I’d appreciate having some feedback on reader preferences when I’m deciding which pieces to give more room to and which to shorten.

I didn't know there was one, what page is it?

Particularly like buying reports, RO reports (especially for the surrounding regions).
I do like the Chairman's chat, the snappy bits on page 7 and the dream drive.

I did like the concours bit, as I could pick and choose the bits I want.

Dislikes?
Repair articles - not very practiclly minded
Not a lot else really, but each to their own.

Hope this helps,

You could just make the magazine bigger(or thicker) then you could get everything in?

i like the page with those 2 blondes and the ...... oh hang on wrong mag.

Ah all Torque, right. I do like the fixing things articles, I like the regional reports, I like the mag the way it is in fact. The variation of things is what makes it enjoyable to me. One month dream drives, the next the annoying fixes on a 924s. spice of life etc. Now where did i put that other mag?????

its pretty good the way it is, other topics get banded about and sorted on here, so perhaps use a thread thats popular on here just prior to print to fill a page or two

I thought it was pretty good. reasonable balance. Maybe the items were a little to long. shorter submissions, considering how many pages there are.

I think the balance of the last few issues has been excellent, something for everyone.

Our mag should be about members and their cars. It's very rewarding to see your car in print, as a featured article or a group shot at an event in the regional pages.

I really enjoyed the Bristol article. I'd like to see more mini features on regions members, unusual/rare cars and how they came by them. 3 or 4 on a page would work well for me.

Don't forget the front cover shots as well. Although the last one from the Porsche Press Office was great, I would prefer to see members cars on our cover. So please send them in.
