I have only done 2,500 miles in my 911 3.2 since it had its last major service in Oct 2009. I have been told that the oil and filter should be changed regularly irrespective of mileage.
The oil does not look too bad on the dip stick. I will probably do about 1,000 mile in it this summer. Should I plan to change the oil and filter in the spring?
Time for an oil change?

Re: Time for an oil change?
Oil should really be changed annually as will degrade with time, don't forget in an air-cooled engine oil not only lubricates but cools as well

Re: Time for an oil change?
TBH oil & filter is cheap maintenance & the cost is pretty minimal. Low mileage makes the oil change even more essential as condensation & acids will be be in the oil & not burnt off. The early cars run something like Castrol Magnatec so that & a filter are not expensive.
