Fitted a genuine Porsche stainless steel back box, got it for a bargain and still had the part number stickers on! Looks and sounds nicer than the mild steel replacement back box that was previously on, think it goes better too but that maybe placebo effect!

Re: What did you do to your 924/944/968 today?
Over the weekend I cleaned the inside up and emptied all the rubbish (amazing how much junk was in there since the car has helped on three house moves in the last 3 years!!)
I then started on my drivers side sill - they were all welded up (inner and outer) for the MOT and are solid now but were not pretty. So I had a go at using a bit of filler to get the shape back and then primed with rust proofing primer and painted red (audi brilliant red which matches the guards red on my car perfectly!) with clear coat on top. next a layer of stone chip protection and then I can fit the plastic sill bits below before starting on the other side.
looks better than before, still not perfect but will do on each side until I eventually send her to a body shop for lots of little bits and bobs.

Shut the rear hacth with my keys inside, lucky the turbo has central locking and the hacth unlocks the doors!

Swapped the cars over, that is brought the 220 from the other garage and gave it a wash and dry, starting to get her ready for LM Classic next week

Not sure if some would consider it a 'no, no' but looks great in those photos but I wondered about a turbo wing decal ? Could look great against that colour.t3rra wrote:Did a wash/clay bar /polish and wax. Didn't get round 2 cleaning the wheels.

Re: What did you do to your 924/944/968 today?
I have been toying with the idea, but deff needs 2 be the faded out type and not soilded. Are you thinking black? With black wheels work work well. Also maybe a colour thats close 2 the paint, but a lighter or darker shade. I think it's one off them things that u put on and the change looks better, you remove and the change looks better lol.
Iv always like the clubsport CS wing ones as well. but always thought the line after the s should fade out as it brake in 2 clubsport text

The OEM Porsche decals are NLA, and all the aftermarket ones are solid coloured vinyl. Anyone know a source for the OEM look?t3rra wrote: Iv always like the clubsport CS wing ones as well. but always thought the line after the s should fade out as it brake in 2 clubsport text
Either 911 front wing

Or 944 front wing option (but shown on 911 CS prototype)

Kissed the bonnet and said thank you when i started the car after bottom end change and all works great. Phew I can without a doubt say I would not have been a happy bunny if it did not.
