Obviously the S2 is different from the turbo but my car runs perfectly with a SciVision set up. I have had some issues but they were wiring related (mainly around the connector on the loom that plugs in to the AFM) rather than anything to do with the SciVision. Car runs perfect hot or cold and breathes better than with standard AFM. AFR's are all spot on hot or cold, idle or WOT etc.

From what I have read the MAF kits work best on the turbo, good on 8 valves and not so good on 16 valves. Throttle response is better and there is a change in induction note, nice and raspy. If it's cool and humid the car feels more powerful but warm and dry not so good but that is pretty normal for internal combustion engines, seems a bit more pronounced with the MAF on. Research on ECUs and chips seems to have dried up. In all I would say the std AFM is better for day to day use and the MAF better on the track if only for the improved throttle response. Interesting to note that the AFM was totally dismantled and the metal cover replaced with grub screws and silicone sealer. I was told it was faulty and out of calibration feels perfect now.

Very nice wheels!

I've started to put mine all back together :D

Do you think I can do it in a week or so? Wish me luck :)

2 pesky coolant seals on the heater matrix pipes lead to this.......

Went to see it at the paint shop, it just needs colour sanding and waiting for the new turbo sticker and stone chip protectors to arrive.

Darryl - those wheels look awesome...........in fact, not just the wheels, the car is awesome :)

I had a mad dash this morning as my other half told me at 10:00 that she had my 951 booked in for MOT tomorrow............so had an hour to check it over before work!!

The washer pump had stopped working, stripped it down and found that the pump gears were binding on the back plate - just a little corrosion. Cleaned it up and didn't wrench the back plate up too tight..........cue functioning washer jets :D

Both reversing lamps had failed......I assumed it would be the gearbox switch, but I was wrong. Turns out one lamp had blown, and the other was corroded. Nice easy fix.

One of the drivers lamps has failed, but I didn't have a lamp to hand.....I'm not convinced that driving lamps have to work for an MOT anyway??

So now it's fingers crossed for tomorrow :?

Today I took my 944 for MOT, and she passed :D Just advisories for front brake pipes and a front wheel bearing.

The emissions test was an odd one, 0% CO and 0ppm HC..........I wonder if the gas probe fell out of the exhaust

Maybe she's just running perfectly!

Planted it in a hedge :( . n/s front wing fog light and rear o/s wing received a dink from a lamp post which I almost avoided. Choice was hedge , lamp post or oncoming car.
Diesel spill on a well known nasty bend. Drive-able and mate Kevin pulled me out. Stripped the front and bumper is cracked. All repairable but the cost of new parts is painful and used bits just not around.
May have found a wing which can be sectioned and spliced, rear quarter will knock out, cracked bumper will fix but looks like a new fog and plastic end bits, golly they are expensive. No structural or mechanical damage so I was reasonably lucky.
