Spotted at Prescott!

Post by stratfordshark »

It was great to see our own John Brookes at Prescott on Sunday, though this time with the Marcos mob.

Here's a shot of his sensational Marcos GT 3 Litre. The interior is a very evocative combination of Smiths instruments, rocker switches and black leather. As you would predict of John the entire car is spookily clean ("if you look underneath Adrian you'll see the chassis rails are bright blue, but they're meant to be like that even though the body's red").

Yes, I tried to buy one from a guy near me as a resto.

It had a 3 litre Volvo engine instead of the Ford Essex 3 litre engine.

The Volvo engined variants are quite rare and sought after but he wouldn't part with it on the basis he was going to restore it as a treat for his daughter.

As far as I know he never did restore it, pity, another lost opportunity
