New to the Porsche world !

Looking to spend £1500 on either 924 or 944 Auto...is this possible ?

Don't want something that is going to cost me double again to get it on the road but Im realistic as to what my budget would/could get me.

London based

Many thanks

Look at Mad Englishman post, a few up/down from yours.

Nothing to do with me, just thought it would suit

Make sure the flex plate is in good condition.
If you don't know what this is it goes where the clutch would be and it's made of rubber.

They cost around £1000 new and are a bit of a job to fit.

I will be putting a guards red 924S Auto up for sale soon, if you're still looking. I want more than £1500 (don't worry it's not a £4000 example!), but on the plus side it's a really nice car with 98k miles and two previous owners. Lots of history, all original handbooks, and belts done within last 10k miles.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested. I'm in Rochester, Kent.

I would say that to get a sound 944 you would need to start looking at £2k+. Many of the cars I saw below this price were tarted up cars which had been patched up (filler in the sills, sills rotting within the wheelarches themselves etc).
