Jon, as per your PM:

4 x 15'' Cookie Cutters (no tyres needed) - scabby and horrible is fine but must be round and useable!
1 x fan relay for early (1982) 944
1 x early steering wheel 'pad' like this one: http://tinyurl.com/ajk8fvk in black

£100 the lot?

Will see what I can do, but should not be a problem :)

Top stuff, thanks Jon.

Drop me a pm when you know if you've got everything. Also in the game for a black gear knob (just knob, not internals or gaiter) too.

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Jon

Just wondered if you have had a chance to see how good your 968 clutch was?

Many thanks

Peter

Found it, some how I missed it!

I think we were waiting to see if one of the cars next in line to come into the workshop for destruction would have some of the parts you need, but have been so busy worth usual Porsche repairs, servicing and tuning work, we have not had a lift free to break up another S2.

I will see what I can do.

I can do £10, plus about £5.50 on shipping, plus VAT.

Call Jamie on reception on 01202 488800 to arrange delivery and payment.

Have finally had a chance to check out the whole assembly.

Findings are that the clutch friction disk has wear beyond a point I personally would be happy to reuse it.

The clutch cover/pressure plate looks curiously new

Would never trust a release bearing that has been used

And the flywheel is great as far as surface, and not completely loose as some dual mass flywheels can be, but it has less spring than a new one would have, so I would not trust it to last 40k which a new clutch would.

I can check to see what I have, almost certainly have more than one, but likely to be a bit perfect for what you want. Although I might have a slightly swisted or bent one which could be straightened.

And are you really sure you want to put vents into it?

I have done some really quite massive posts on this subject here and in the PCGB forum about this, in nearly all cases you will reduce the cooling of the intercooler.

I read your posts with interest, im planning to change the intercooler also and reconfigure the way air is chanelled to it if possible. I'd rather have one that is generally scruffy as to bent or twisted as the fabricator is looking to make the vent holes rather than stitch them in from the 924 bolt on panel I have here.

Im quite confident they can do a top job because he said its a shame to cut up the 924 panel and he was a bit offended when I mentioned that I expect it might need to filler when he has finished so straight is prefrable to keep the work load down but some little dents on a scruffy panel might be accpetable.

Thanks Jon

I reckon the parts mice have been up to their old tricks again.

£25 for the pressure plate?

Many thanks

Peter

No problem, would have to be plus VAT and shipping. Would cap the shipping at £7.50.

So that would be £39 including the dreaded VAT and shipping.

Just call 01202 488800 for payment via card over the phone to Jamie here.
