+1

Picked up some parts from Jon last week, very happy with them and a nice chap too. Gave me some good advice on my car and even a really interesting story about the Porsche dealer my 944 was originally purchased from. Now I just have to convince 'The Chairman' that another front engined Porsche would be a sensible daily driver. 8)

Near side mirror for an S2 in red? £10

You will be needing a late mirror with the black plastic internals and round snap ring.

Can do the entire guts from a mirror without the glass for £10, the casing (colour coded bit) without guts for £10 or the mirror glass for £10

But can't do the whole lot for £10, especially the late ones, as they are often needed in the workshop.

Not sure if we would have casings in red though, or in perfect condition without chips in that colour.

Can check though if your interested.

That should be no problem, the chairmen tend to be wise and will therefore know that a 924 would make perfect sense as a daily driver :)

Late mirror please, just the colour coded part is fine - mine has lost the mounting lugs and can move. I guess it was caught on something in the past. If you could check for me please?

Thanks Jon.

I now have on my desk a guards red 944 mirror, without guts for the near side.

The paint on it is slightly iffy with a couple of fish eyes (defects) in the main part, the base has a few stone chips.

If your interested, you can have the whole two parts, the main colour coded part and the base for £10 + about £5 for shipping and the dreaded vat so £18 all in delivered to your door.

If your interested, call 01202 488800 and ask for Jamie who will be able to process it for you and get it sent out.

Can't do these used, but could probably get some new, but not any cheaper than a main dealer (not something I will say often!)

If Jon can't help you out, I have one that might fit the bill.

Hi Jon

Looking for a 924 turbo dogleg gearbox with perfect synchros in 1st and 2nd gear. Oh and an LSD fitted. £100? :D

Jon, as per your PM:

4 x 15'' Cookie Cutters (no tyres needed) - scabby and horrible is fine but must be round and useable!
1 x fan relay for early (1982) 944
1 x early steering wheel 'pad' like this one: http://tinyurl.com/ajk8fvk in black

£100 the lot?

I can check to see what I have, almost certainly have more than one, but likely to be a bit perfect for what you want. Although I might have a slightly swisted or bent one which could be straightened.

And are you really sure you want to put vents into it?

I have done some really quite massive posts on this subject here and in the PCGB forum about this, in nearly all cases you will reduce the cooling of the intercooler.

Well, as it happens, I have two 924 turbo snailshell dogleg gearboxes.

One is completely dissassembled, the casings have been blasted, and all the parts boxed, ready to rebuild.

The other had done 35k miles, and I removed it from a car about 6 years ago to convert the car to an early 944 transmission setup.

Neither of these transmissions will be £100 though, and not sure if the 35k one has an LSD or not, but it did come out of a swiss car, so the chances are that it did.
