February 2013 Scottish monthly
Meeting minutes.
A warm welcome to everyone at tonight’s meeting and in particular new member Alexis Duncan who joined TIPEC in January and the proud owner of a Silver 2.7 Boxster, welcome to the region Alexis. There were 13 bodies at tonight’s meeting Inc 3 porkers in the car park.
First on the agenda was to hand out TIPEC Car Tax disc holders and car stickers to everyone present. If members are struggling to attend meetings or events then as per my January group e-mail, please send my self a self addressed envelope with stamp and I will post your disc and stickers by post.
Next was the unfortunate resignation of Mike Stevens who was the ARO East of Scotland last season and due to family and work commitments Mike is unable to continue the ARO role, however James McLauchlan was press ganged into the new role and succeeds Mike as the new ARO East of Scotland. So well done James and I am sure your ever organisational skills will enhance the region as you have done so many times in the past.
The spring weekend is now confirmed for the weekend of 10th,11th and 12th of May, this was all organised by James McLauchlan and Elaine Whitelaw and a separate email regarding the weekend has been sent out. Please contact James or Elaine if you are wishing to go, as always a great weekend in good company.
I did mention at last month’s meeting the Scottish region will have a reminder text service to remind members as well as the group email to up and coming events etc that the Scottish region will be attending over the season. This will be a couple of texts a month to remind members of events and meet details etc to what we are attending within the coming weeks/days. A separate email will go out to all and you can reply back with your mobile number if you wish to be part of the region’s text reminder service.
The main reason for the February meeting is always to choose what you the members wish to do and participate in for the new season ahead. The SVVF book was made available to all at the meeting and after much deliberation and looking at the various suggestion forms etc we are putting together the diary of events and it will be finalised within the next week to ten days and certainly before the March meeting comes around. Again a separate email will follow regarding the season content etc in due course. Many thanks for all the suggestions and as I have said in past season’s it if impossible to put all your great idea’s in to practise but we can certainly put the most communal in to place. We do have a couple of detailing demos and Scotland’s largest Porsche show will be put together this season also so look out for them in the dairy of events as I have said, it will be out very soon.
