I also checked out one of my old S2's this morning and discovered the sills have a bad case of rot.

Otherwise, it is a great car, but as I can not put my name to a sales car which has had to have the sills replaced, which does not sit well with me, so I have come to the sad conclusion that she will also be getting broken up for spare parts... Not the end of the world, as it will hopefully supply a couple of bits for one of my S2 Cabs as well as maybe an engine for my own S2 powered early lux project.

But it does mean some more parts will be coming up for grabs!

If you want a Lindsay Wastegate, they represent really great value (we paid £600 each for them).

Go on then, £100 + my £50 credit note from May last year, got to be better than my 21 year old 84k original WG surely ?.

Hey, remember me for that 928 seat without the electrics ... no idea on how mucy - you tell me.
Helga needs a service soon, and her air con! - when will you be all sorted?

Moving ever so slightly closer to you, Ferndown, so maybe shaving about 8 miles off your journey to us. Hopefully we will be in there in about 2 to 3 months. Will see if I can sort you out a 928 seat, if so, for you, its free.

Always a pleasure to see both yourself and Helga!

Hey that great Jon - thanks. When should I pop down? Weekend? Chance to give Helga a stretch too

I just went to PM you and found I had a PM from you a short while ago I had not replied to!

Waiting for the 928 log book, if it turns up, then it is the last stage in its acquisition and we are free to sell her or break her up. It is maybe time to make an offer on her by PM, if everything comes through we can either do a deal or we can break it up.

Hi Scott,

If we have a pair of damaged rear lights with good reversing light sections, they are yours for free, just pay shipping or collect them!

If we do not have any damaged ones, just make an offer on a pair of good ones and we will make sure we send you ones with the very best reversing lenses available.

After some soul searching about one of my 944 S2's, I have decided she is also to be broken up.

She is in Guards Red with a black cloth interior with white pinstripe, black carpet, black door cards, black dashboard.

She runs fine and is a good car, but due to excessive rot in the sills and because she is not a keeper for my collection, I would not be happy selling her as a complete car and putting my name and warranty to her.

So it now looks like there are two 944S2's and two 944 Luxes being broken for spare parts over the next month or two, all parts open to offers!

And yes, the S2's both have rotton bottoms to their front wings!

On the subject of front wings, one of the 944 luxes is on a lift right now being broken up, the front wings are painted in a pale silver blue (Possibly Horizon Blue) but the paint lacquer is crazed.

Rust wise they seem to be rust free except having the usual flakey paint on the very underside of the wing, a couple of stone chips with orange just in the stone chips and scaley looking brackets scaley or covered in underseal and grime... but in any case, for my purposes I would consider them to be good lux wings.

Solid in both the wing bottoms and at the front where it meets the valance, which is reasonably unusual... but then again, it is a 80,000 mile automatic 944 lux from 1985 (one of the last square dash models)

Open to offers

Just found this in the container... Was fitted to my old Cobalt Blue 944 S2 that I sold last year.. Was fitted to the car for about a month before I bought the car, I swapped it over to a standard blue wheel.

Image

Open to offers, very good idea for tall drivers (the previous owner of my cobalt blue one which this wheel was fitted to, was about 6 foot 6 tall!!) as it allows extra leg room.

Its a MOMO, with a MOMO boss for a 944, with horn pad, all complete!

Evening Jon,
Got any more decent interior rear quarter panels in black and a headliner for a 968 with a sunroof. Looks like the drain tubes leaked at some point on mine and someone made a fist of headliner while fixing it.

Also I think I've got a couple of spare gear levers around somewhere, but I'll be wanting one back with your usual improvements made.

Cheers
Dave

Black rear quarter trims have been a bit of a roller coaster ride over the last week.

I thought I had loads of them and accepted an offer in this thread for a pair, then realised I only had one, and now I am breaking up another S2 I have 2 available again... but they need really to be first refusal of the original bidder in here..

If he ends up not needing them or I find some more I will let you know.
