Wheels and Tyres
My 2007.987 Boxter has a compressor and sealant in lieue of the spare wheel.Rumour has it that this option is fairly ineffective.Assuming that the sealant is now 6 years old is it still effective and does it have a shelf life? I am naturally nervous of this alternative..has anyone any experience of this option and any advice to offer?

On our last Euro trip one of the guys hit a rock which resulted in the tyre wall being split.
Much to all of our surprise the sealant did the job and got the car to the dealership for a new tyre.
