The fire photos are fun - how much / where did you get the poly bush sets for those?

I'm not doing poly I have brought the Elephant racing rubber bushes......they are as close to OEM as I can find, also got the trailing arm bushes from them.......the torsion bar support bushes are from my local porsche garage

Ordered an enlarged turbo outlet pipe from Broadfoot today, I have been battling with a damaged original for some time now so I thought if I have to go to the trouble of replacing it I might as well have something to show for it :)

A couple of photos of the pipe once you have it would be much appreciated. :D

Took the old girl in to Cath Burrows to have the bores looked at as the knock is getting worse and exhaust very smelly, using a pint per 500.
As expected bore scoring on 2+3 pretty bad so transplant needed. Cath has located a complete motor which she will check out and Porsche-apart have a "mint" block. So the day has come and hopefully I'll end up with a quiet non-smelly S2 soon.

I remember you saying somewhere else you were getting rather high temps. Hope that sorts it.

Hi Alex - Thanks - it would appear to have sorted the problem, altho' I think the fault lay with the thermo switch, but changed the two so that they would work in sequence, as recommended...

Replaced the screen wash pump. Last problem I could find in order to pass the MOT!

More importantly, the list of repairs on the car is now greater than the list of outstanding problems!

Brushed all the snow of it and started her up for the first time in three weeks. Can't wait until the snow has gone so can actually get of the drive and go for a blast!

But Andy the snow is a good reason to take it out.

I would like to play at that but have a very steep drive and no chance of getting off it until the snow has gone :(
