"Photo-card driving licences are set to become mandatory in 2015, when paper licences are officially phased out. "

For those of us with Green licences this is yet another £10 every 10 years stealth tax, as well as the penalties from DVLA for not renewing it on time.

sounds like good business for the photo booth operators, better get them to fit some wide angle lenses down this way though :D

mmmm, thats 0.002 pence per day... there will be rioting, I can see it coming :wink:
I've already had to pay a renewal already being as I had the photo card when I passed my test...

You can do it online and not even bother with getting a photo done - if you've had a passport photo done in the last 5 years... they just use that image..
Vica- versa for the passport in case your interested- and there's a renewal figure to make you eyes water.... thats 0.021p per day!!

I had to renew my photo licence last year as it was 10 years old, cost was £24 IIRC done at Post Office
