I have cleaned the rear underside, turns out the wheels arches and all underbody bits aren't black! Removed driveshafts and painted them, cleaned, rebuilt and re greased the cv joints and added new gaitors. The joints are ok, but should last a bit longer now and the mot should be ok as the gaitors were ruined, the grease was terrible...

Also made up a fix to the smaller fuel tank strap that seems to work ok!

Four new Toyo t1 sports are excellent, had t1r before and they squealed a little bit. Only concern now is above 80 the front seems a it light, I think the rear is sagging to much now. Have posted this before but not done it yet! Two new rear koni shocks and a play with the adjustment at the back and see where we end up.

A bit of a disaster though as the gentlest of tugging force easily unstuck these useless pieces of cr@p so now I am back to square one.

I think I will try no more nails next - it can't do any worse!

I will screw the posts into the hatch after first placing a square of greaseproof paper over each hole and punching through the paper with the securing post - then I shall apply the no more nails to each post head and stick the hockey stick on. Hopefully this will make it easy to align them properly and any excess gunk will be caught by the greaseproof paper and wont glue the hockey sticks permanently to the hatch.

We shall see...

I need 2 do this repire as well, was thinking off using a metal bond glue a weilder told me off its a strong as a weild, used in areas that's to thin or hard 2 get 2 places. Can't rember the name.

My 1st idea was 2 fiber glass them in place, 2 cut a long strip off it and and poke the studs though, then fix it all in place so the wings off the tabs are in cased. Hopefully the studs will pull on the wings, wings pull on the fiber glass pulling on the hockey sticks

I think your fibre glass idea is over engineered and you may end up with too large a gap between the hockey stick and the hatch glass for the weather seal to span.

In the end I used Evo-Stick Serious Stuff waterproof adhesive. Costs about £10 from B&Q but well worth it as it has stuck the posts on really well and was easy to work with too. I held the hockey sticks in place with some pegs from the washing line until the glue hardened. I recommend the greaseproof paper method I used above because that saved a lot of mess and hassle.

Today I trimmed off the excess glue and painted the insides of the hockey sticks black ready for fitting tomorrow :D

Had a look at a datalog I took yesterday, it looks like the boost is tailing off a bit at high revs so need to take a look at the boost control duty cycle.

that looks great :D what a transformation :)

Nutinthemiddle/T3rra

I hate these thing's ..fixed them 3 times on my car the glue sticks but the backing plates rust then the glue does not stck to the rust layer and they drop off again....in the end I drilled though from the outside and glued in stainless steel bolts then I filled the heads and covered the sticks in Matte black vinyl and they good really good but a lot of work

edited to say I also got rid to the seals for a cleaner look

Gorgeous maroon upgrade! Is that a 924? Guessing from the black trim around the heater controls.

Replaced both my lux standard front legs with turbo legs with good shocks, top mounts and springs. Mine had a leaky shock, loose top mount so it was cheaper to upgrade to low mileage used turbo legs. Also did n/s front wheel bearing and replaced discs to drilled grooved ones. Bled and cleaned all brakes. Replaced earth connection on rear demister.

My car originally had lower springs on front so the car sits back to factory level which I'm not sure I like. I did drive her and she does feel better, steering is much lighter and just feels more as it should, but the lower look seemed to suit her. So I will have to see how I get on with the standard height.

I would think they will be. Did you get the seats re-trimmed or did you find them in that condition?

Fitted new boot seal. The old one wasn't too bad but was a little flat so am sure it will be a bonus

I bought them from ebay, they was a 924 n/a breaking locally so I bought the whole interior at a reasonable price. so now I have an interior in my loft looking for a new home, although much of the carpet is ruined due to water leaks, the front seats are torn. the back looks good and complete with a rear boot cover
