Hi ya Guys

In need of some advice regarding bodywork repair to my 944. My baby is getting older as time goes by and needing sum TLC. Like all of us she's showing her age. :( There's somewhat of a blemish to the rear wing. Does anyone know if there Is a repair Panel to the bottom front edge of the rear quarter-panel out there?

Many thanks

Neil

Clubautosport do one for the rear quarter and one for the sill itself:

I can't vouch for the quality.

Pretty sure they're the ones fitted to mine & they're OK. To be honest it's a pretty flat panel & most of the final appearance is down to who fits it!

Niel. First you need to resize them so there not too big. Microsofts image resizing thingy does it for me.
When you click post reply. Scroll down the left & click browse button in the Filename section. Point it at your photo & upload. The click the Img button at the top & paste your link in there. Hope that makes some sence :? Confused myself, Have a go you will soon work it out. When you've done it try preview before posting!
Good luck :)

Hi Neil, Club Auto Sport did mine & I'm really pleased with the results. Mine didn't look anywere near as badly rusted as yours do though. I just had a couple of rust bubbles but the metal underneath was badly rusted.

Looks like a sill + rear section replacement to do it properly, probly looks worse cos its white ....Gazza were yours like that ? or was it just a strip the stone chip off back to metal and a repaint.

The job on Jim's looked like a big one,,,have you done the inspection through the vent apertures ?

cheers

Mine were very similar on the outside - Did myself with some fibreglass and patience. Won't last forever so eventually will need replacing. The thing is that stoneguard at the bottom masks the real problem, hope its not but is probably allot worse if you remove - see mine (this was the good side), Ill be at the next NORLON and Ill bring my mechanic :) if you want some more advice:

Looks like a previous hole has been filled, the area around it is not rotten so its a clean up and re-stone chip for the time being, would like to do the "proper" cut out and weld in new though !!

Did you use those http://212.67.202.62/~clubauto/porsche_ ... nd_low.htm section s on you repair ? any pics of the job ?

cheers
