996 Turbo Insurance Required

Post by GeeBeeMan »

Can anyone recommend an insurer please for a 2003 996 Turbo Coupe? 3,000m p/a. Not a daily driver. 'Joe Normal' Aged 44

So far my likely candidates based on 993 experience don't want to quote - and the TIPEC magazine doesn't seem to have helped neither. Think I've tried Hagerty, Heritage etc etc

THANK YOU (in advance)

I'm currently with Admiral for £500 a year, but C.V.I. told me to phone them at renewal time as they should be able to help me.

Thanks Lee. Sub £500 my target too. 993 was sub £300 but "that's different" as they say

Yes Sean.....integral garage. Strong as an ox 'anti-jack' modern door. Guard dog. Well alright.....Labrador.......

In that case I can not see why you can't get the car on a reasonable classic policy unless you are over valuing it?

Cherished Vehicle Insurance (CVI) are usually very competitive on 996 and Boxster. :)

Is 2003 a 'classic' now then? :dontknow: I used to insure my '96 993 with Hagerty, until they decided '96 was not old enough!

Ah maybe they base the classic bit on the driver and not the car then

Hiya Geebeeman, have you tried Classicline? they insured my Boxster for around £800 when the nearest competitor was quoting £1350. I know this sounds expensive but I had just wrote off a 944S (my fault) and had only had a car license for four years.
