Hi All,

I'm looking for new stainless steel back box for my S2. Don't want nothing that's too loud so i can't go on track days and would like one that has the same ( ish ) shape and size tail pipe as the original.

Any suggestions?

Spencer

Do you want a new one because your old one's knackered or because you want more performance? I ask this beacuse, if you want it to look and sound much like the original, why have a stainless one, when the genuine Porsche box is most probably much lighter and last a very long time? Mine's been on for 18 years now & is still solid. (It could do with a new trim though.)

The exhaust is fine apart from the tip...... is this replaceable? I did have a look but couldn't see how the tip comes off!!!!!!!!!! Also just before the tip there is some rotting of what appears to be maybe a heat sink or similar which has completely rotted.........

Or am i just being stupid?

Yes the chrome tip is replaceable. You can get them from Porscheshop. I really should replace mine, it's been rusty since I've owned the car. (6 years) :sad7:

How do the tips come off? I had a go at it but didn't want to use too much force in case i damaged the exhaust...... or do i just need to be a bit more brutal with it?
