The replacement of parts would depend on mileage, it looks to me that the previous owner has been paying for stuff that is not required.

Shocks and discs don't need changing that frequently, belts should be every 4 years.

If you are taking it to the guys who normally look after it, I'd try somewhere else.

Hi guys,

From 2000 to 2005 it was serviced by a place called Camtune and in the past three years it has been serviced by Northway. They're both a bit out of my way so I'm taking it to a place called Jaz in Wembley who are supposed to be pretty good.

http://www.jazweb.co.uk/

Its done 139,000 miles total, but its good to know the belts etc don't need replacing that often.

I was sure it had been serviced this year - I was pretty tired when I posted that and surrounded by receipts so I may just have missed the most recent one off. I'll double check.

Thanks again.

D

Looks like it's having parts replaced nice and regularly so it's being used frequently and is no garage queen.

The lack of any service since 2005 could be worrying if you can't find any documentation and with the belts last changed at that point they will be due again soon. Heavy use will see you go through plenty of brake consumables, pads would last me a year and disks would last two.

Nice to see that clutch, fuel lines, brakes lines and rusty sills have all been looked at it the last few years - these are all the BIG expense items on a 944 and will hopefully last at least the next ten years
