We really need someone to step up to the plate and look after Lincolnshire, even if it is to jivvy people along to the pub every month it would be a step in the right direction.

No the meeting place also hosts the Bentley, Lotus, BMW owners clubs, I think its just circumstance, the weather last year was terrible, particularly on meeting nights, I can only remember 1 dry meeting at Tealby and none at Rockley the previous venue, at just about every meet there were localish (Lincs) people who we bumped into at shows and other events throughout the year who seemed interested in coming but needed a boat rather than a Porsche's come meeting night, Brod had got good connections and had some great idea's but unfotunately spent most of last summer in and out of hospital, and had to resign as RO

I'd like to invite Lincs Region members, and indeed any others, to the Stamford Car Show on Bank Holiday Sunday, 24 August.
Its a superb venue, on the Town Meadows, in the middle of our lovely stone town so you can park up and stroll about, or look at the 450 cars we're expecting - we got 430 last year and were nearly full.

See more at http://www.stamfordcarshow.co.uk and its free - though pre-booking advised this year.

My own 944Turbo will be there as I'm one of the organisers !

That sounds like a nice relaxed show.

I'll try and come along.

I must try harder...

I'm trying to re-arrange my Wednesdays so I can get to Tealby again. Hospital on 2 April, so hopefully will make 9th.

Cape to Cape from 27 April to 2 May so should make the May meeting also. Anyone want to be bored by a report on the Tour?

Hello Lincolnshire Porsche owners Graham Pearson here. Yes I am still a member of TIPEC and did regularly attend the monthly meetings at Tealby. On four consecutive months over the winter period the attendance was me plus one other couple, me, me plus one different couple and me respectively. As I am very active in areas of youth and voluntary work I enjoyed the opportunity of just turning up and participating on the night as it were but after that experience I decided enough was enough.
Yes the Louth Lincs Motor Club are quite active and always give a warm welcome wether members or not.

Afraid I will be in Paris next Wednesday, so we won't be there, apparantly only Jeff and Edith (968 Bloke) turned up last month, Clive (951 Torquing) and Graham Pearson are forum members but are still being shy, I think Brod said he was coming but after another meeting so will be slightly late

Not Shy but retiring, well next year when I intend to give the 944 Turbo a bit more exercise.
+ only recently got back onto this forum (didn' realise it was under Gruppe North!!!)
Apologies for not attending over the winter (I did manage to get in quite a few appearances last year at SYND now SYNN) + a track day @ Donington but have had lots of Work & Family commitments (thats why I declined the RO job - I wouldn't take it on if I couldn't do it justice!)
Hope to get along to some of the SYNN meetings (weather permitting!!)

Intention is to start this w'end with Gainsborough (what time ?) + meal & meeting later.
Definately V.S.C.C Donington (See R E D ) Guards type of course!! Anybody going ? Sat or as last year on the Sunday - it was a VG day.
Renishaw Hall I thought that was a really good show (+ good weather) pity about the Yellow Lambo spoiling our Porsche display. (at least it was at the far end)

Weekday night meets are not good for me as I get up at 4:15am & need my beauty sleep. Roll on retirement..you will see me around Tipec meets a LOT more then !
