The Facebook thing’s a good idea. It’s an advert for TIPEC and our national event. It’s a different medium to magazine or flyer advertising, but it’s still just an advert, aimed at Porsche owners who use Facebook.

Look at it this way: It’s like starting a thread on the PCGB forum about the TIPEC national event. Which, coincidentally, Helen also did recently. It’s nice to see someone doing their bit to promote the club.

So where were you at the AGM Brett, it was on a Sunday (your good day  ), thank God this is not PCGB where everything has to go through commitee, Helen did get off her backside and attend the meeting and was acting in the spirit of the commitee from the decisions made at the meeting by the commitee, you have a grudge against facebook et al perhaps your employees think the same when your logged onto PCGB, Tipec or NOS   yes Nick facebook could be classed as a waste of time but you can continue that logic to Tipec and Porsche's as well, you tried it didn't like it so nobody should? You and the rest of us are already on side, we are just using facebook as an extra advertising medium to bring in Porsche owners and enthusiasts to our club, a few of us that do use both will be there ready to welcome prospective club members and guide them to the Tipec Website then hopefully to meets and shows. IF and I stress IF things go tits up and some miscreant wants to cause trouble, we have to rely on the site moderator to react, I trust Helen's judgement on this. Sorry Brett we were on such a positive roll within the club and with each other we could do without your black cloud

Brett you just don't get it do you. Helen posted as the OP & said she'd done it & if the committee had any issues with it then she'd take it down. I read it didn't have any issues but didn't have time to respond & then Sean did saying we'd give it a try. So the Chairman & Vice Chairman or in other words two senior COMMITTEE members gave permission effectively & still you come back chipping in!
In other words Brett leave it alone, you had a opinion everyone has heard it to death move on. Helen has the support of the committee & in fact it's a damn good idea that I wish I'd though of as no doubt do others.

If you have such strong opinions get along to an AGM to voice them, but as you didn't ......

Thread locked because I can't see anything useful being added to it.
