Cool. It seems to be slightly modified on the outside, how's the engine?

I am a newbie here and relatively new to the transaxle cars. I had wanted a turbo something for a while and started looking for a 944T last summer to replace a daily Golf and compliment my 911 track day car. After driving a friends 924 Carrera GT, I decided to pull the trigger. As is often the way, I found a perfect car really close to home - a Silver Rose Turbo S that one of my mechanics had rebuilt (engine and suspension rebuild). Its got lot of Lindsey Racing Kit on it - DP wastegate, 55lb injectors, 3-bar fuel, 3 inch exhaust, big intercooler, GReddy EBC etc -and a rebuilt k26/8. I thought it was quickish running the Promax chips that were in it, but it didn't hold the boost and it all came in a big rush in the midrange. I was feeling a near vertical tq curve in the midrange rather than real power. Long story short, the wizard, Wayne Schofield fixed the mapping and found another 30rwhp and got tq peak to 330lbft while filling in the tq curve above and below the midrange. Its only running 1.1 bar/16psi but is at (IMHO) a real sweet spot for these cars. Its very drivable and you can modulate the traction with the right foot much more easily than used to be the case.

I have had the car 9 months and have done a run to Spa Classic recently. Its a great long distance car and the tq is devastating once you get to motorway+ speeds. Very different to a high revving, LW but tq-lite 911. Anyhow, here she is.

Bordeaux tartan in all its glory (I had to get the drivers seat bolsters recovered).

Excellent to see the really early car there. From what I've learnt, you'll have more than a few surprises with odd parts that don't match the rest of the 944 series.

I'm already finding them!

Great fun little car though, just need to sort out the suspension and brakes and stick some decent rubber on.

Here's mine. I think she's posted somewhere else above by the previous owner (a fine, upstanding chap with dashing good looks). Anyway, I liked this shot so I thought I'd share it here.

Heres mine after replacing both lower rear quarter panels due to rot and a sides only respray. Very close to getting rid but keeper now. Just bought some 16" early turbo teledials to replace the D90's for a more original look. Will have the rest resprayed soon.
