Yip, parts come in at roughly £75 incl VAT, so getting them too. Certainly don't want to pay for any more clutch work for such relatively small value items.

Cheers,
Bryan

Hi,

I've got the car back now, so I thought I'd give a final update.

The clutch was done, along with the clamping sleeve, rear main seal, clutch guide tube, fork bearings and spigot bearing. The original problems have now gone and the gear changes and clutch operation feel like new. Thanks to Jon for identifying these other components.

Unfortunately for me, I also paid for a service, brake fluid change, new cambelts etc including water pump, new radiator & new fuel pump. At some point soon I'll have to have the front struts replaced as there's play in there. The bill came to more than I paid for the car!

I should have spotted the clutch issue when I test drove it and the front suspension issue is in the buyer's guide. I also knew about the cambelt change before I bought it, so I can't complain too much.

Now that the sun's out, I can get the roof down and use it for what it's intended - fun!

Cheers,
Bryan
