East Midlands Drought Run - Foxton Locks / Rutland Water

Post by jao »

The theme was waterside venues but we didn't need to travel far to find plenty of water!

Many thanks to Alan and Susan for organising todays event and providing the breakfasts.

All went smoothly aside from a couple of navigational errors, very wet day but enjoyable.

Here are a few shots taken with my phone, Tom gets todays award for the best parking!

Thanks

John and Shirley

Graham,

You missed a good day, Alan picked a very interesting route and he was on particularly good form, good day out considering the rain, we even got a visit into the club house at my sailing club - Rutland Sailing Club at Edith Weston where they had closed the waterfront due to the weather!! So no sailing:(

See you at the next club meeting.

Cripes, you must have some brass, to own your own sailing club! I didn't spot you in Sunday's Times supplement.....

If only! Although the subs I've paid over the years probably amount to a tidy sum.
