After a huge amount of indecision we looked at & bought a Boxster today. It's a 2000 on a W Boxster S Tip. Special order blue which cost its first owner a huge amount of money (3K+) & tan leather everywhere.

Nice colour Jim... on the outside. But like John W said 'each to his own'.

I've got one of the mobiles that fits that hands-free kit lying around somewhere if you want it.

Enjoy it.

I'll put my flame suit on and admit.....................I like the tan interior.

There, I said it............please be gentle.

Nice car Jim, they are become more attractive as time passes.

I've been thinking about writing an article on how I think people will see the early water cooled 996/986 as a replacement to the 944/924.

Funnily enough one of the attractions was the interior. I was adamant I didn't want resale silver or black exterior & deffo not black interior. Also a couple on E Bay were Guards Red & although I love red, I'm not convinced that it looks OK on a Boxster :? This started to limit the market.
I love grey & the left field ones (terracota, cinnamon & can can Red) The real attraction of this was the blue but the tan interior was a bonus.
PS I don't pick it up until 31st... this is going to be a long wait :bounce:

As an owner with a Cinnamon interior, I love the tan. 8)

Oh, that does look nice Jim.

I expect a ride at the next meet!!

I think that is a very nice colour combination, more striking than the usual silver/black.

Congrats Jim - what a pretty car. The tan goes well with exterior.

Early Boxsters are extraordinary bargains just now, and from the photos that looks in lovely condition.

Now you'll have to do a Boxster teach-in at Hatton!

Well done Jim I'm really chuffed for you, great looking car and the colour combo works well. I hate waiting to get my hands on keys to a new (to you) car :bounce: , in the meantime you'll have to put up with test driving a new Boxster @ the SELNK visit to OPC Tonbridge this weekend!
See you there,
John

Very nice car Jim , brill Colour and even like the interior.
IMO had it not been for the fact they made so many of these cars they would be respected more these days for what they are, which is basically Roller Skates with a big engine. Super handling and good power output. Very underestimated cars.
:D

Nice looking car and love colour - also looks immaculate condition. :)

How doe it compare insurance wise with the 944? Obvously not as old for that purpose..

Horrific!!!! My wallet is still in ICU on oxygen. The cheapest I could get is £750. The 944 was £126ish.
This is for 54 year old with one SP30 & wife 53 with one SP30, no accidents etc. Second car & 3K per annum.
