Yeah I won. No, it hasn't arrived yet. (I do have a parcel to collect from the sorting office though. So that's most probably it.)

I will report once it arrives. Why has this guy got some more for sale?

I went to the sorting office to collect the parcel today & yep it is the light seals.

It looks like the original very sticky black putty stuff that Porsche used to me. :thumbright:

Just replaced both rear lights. The black stuff looks just like gutter mastic. I bet he's making them to order!
I just used silicon on mine. Can't see it at all. Now when I put the lights on they are BRIGHT :D Hard to get them out. & took some paint with them. Cleaned the reflectors with a bath of Vinegar. Came up like new! Going to try the same on the front driving lights next.

Be careful with the front lights as the "chrome" is different to the back ones!

The refelctors on the rears are most likely chrome plated plastic, but on the fronts the chrome is not usually plated. It is vapour deposited and very delicate and easily damaged. Vinegar will most likely just remove it all together.

It has at last gone into the bodyshop. Not sure now about the front end. It's just a shell with no brackets or anything behind it. Club Autosport said "It just bolts on" Only way I can see to bolt it on would be to drill right through it! Will see what it fits like when the old one comes off. But it might just be a front end respray now. Disapointed to say the least. Expect to be carless for a couple of weeks now. But then it is forcast to snow again this weekend!

I can't speak for the non S2/Turbo front end, but even the original S2/Turbo front bumper is only attached by being sandwiched between the badge panel and with screws to the undertray & wheel arch liners.

Body shop has messed me about  Used them for years & they have always done a good job. Wish I'd taken it somwhere else now. So when I need it. It's off the road. Missed gmund again.

If this front end was fixed as above it wouldn't be strong enough. Fibre glass is very flimsy & thin. Not good quality at all. I blame myself for buying it unseen. It would need stiffening up. I expect that it will just cost too much to sort out. It does have tabs along the top so thats probably how it's meant to fit. But it needs to be a few layers thicker for sure. Think a bee could make a hole in it at 100
If I had my own workshop it wouldn't matter. Could just layer it up from the back. It was too expensive for what it is. :|

Well  Thought some of you might enjoy a laugh.
Clubautosport agreed to take it back. Pretty good when you consider how long ago I ordered it. (Still don't like there firbreglass but.....)
The bad news is the courier has lost it  How you lose a bumper :?: So if you see a '44 going around with a badly fitting spoiler. That was mine  No it wasn't insured. :bom:
I'm going to drink some beers & forget it. Could have been worse. Cam belt could have gone. (Have a friend with a 2.8 Z3 thats just exploded with only 63000 miles on the clock!)
As I said. Teach me to get carried away. The morel of the story is. If it aint broke don't fix it :blackeye:
Don't think I will be ordering any of those pretty lights. Not for a while anyway.
Should have just booked for Brunty. Sorry guys
