Hi
Can you help me with answers to these questions.....my car is a 1991 944 turbo
1. does my car have a O2 sensor
1.a does it need changing or wait till it breaks
1.b can I by a wideband one, to help with upgrades later or do they need to be seperate
2. what does the carbon canister do, under the passenger wing?
2.a does it need replacing or wait till it breaks
3. can the exhaust manifold be removed (under or from top) without pulling the engine
Ok its more like 6 questions .....but its a 944 so little jobs are allways bigger than you think
thanks in advance

1. probably
1a. if its running fine then its ok
1b. you cannot replace the std one with a wideband - the ecu will not understand the signals. You can remove the std one (a couple of wiring modifications are needed for the ecu) or get an extra boss welded in the exhaust for a wideband.
2. it is used to store excess fuel vapours, which are then recycled back into the engine.
2a. it never needs attention & it can be removed should you wish.
3. yes, but you will have to remove the studs & then pull the manifolds out the top.
