1986 911 Supersport in Silver (the new red).
2023 Hyundai Tucson in dark grey.
2014 Mazda 2, ZOOM ZOOM, its the wifeys, honest !
All the cars looked excellent so again well done to the team who spend so long organising it. And of course well done for the tireless enthusiasm talking to hundreds if not thousands over the weekend, it can be a slog by the Sunday I bet.
I had a great 3 days in the dream rides area blatting around the local roads. Police were a PITA this year though.
When road conditions and speed limits allowed Porsche honour was upheld in a series of head to heads !! But if you see a green and yellow Westfield with a 4.2 V8 thats slightly tougher..

Within 2 miles of the NEC there were 3 marked cars, 3 unmarked cars, radar traps and 2 unmarked police bikes. If they saw you leave then they just followed you round the route. I must have been followed for miles at times however we soon got to know who they were and how to change the route.
I think they were told to be there and do the job, they stopped about 12 drivers (some given a warning, others booked) and had a chat to most quite pleasantly. After stopping and booking one chap the driver of one of the unmarked cars then came in to the NEC and bought a ride in the Ultima. They are petroheads too.

Considering that Coleshill, one the traffic HQ is only about a mile from the NEC, it was an easy one for them to manage..
I wonder how the officer ride in the Ultima went..... slowly
A shame they booked drivers rather than just giving them a warning especially considering the reasoning behind why they were there in the first place
I will do this one year...
