 Post subject: Autobox fluid

Hello all

Just took car for MOT after 6 months of work being done :

Failed on Brake disc (warped) corroded brake ferrell rear both and handbrake adjustment.

Not too bad, however when checking under car, i have a slight leak on auto gearbox, my questiion is can someione reccommend a good quality oil to go in the box., not sure if the box is leaking or if its just mist, dont get any pools of oil under the car :D

Hi John

I think any Dex III oil is fine. Just use same as you are using for power steering.

It may only be seal on lid of ATF fluid reservoir which is leaking. You can replace just the seal (it's in parts catalogue) or some people have had success with justflipping over exising seal!
