Well today has been great! Alisdair you truly are a lifesaver, the car feels transformed even before a setup. Only one issue on the way home as the skirt came off but just a minor annoyance. Great day and great to finally meet you all.

Yeah good day, good to see people again and others for the first time. Special mention to the long travellers, helped make it a great day and well done the catering staff and the gazebo meister! :D

Looking forward to the pics as I was too busy spannering when all the arty picturing was going on, it was an impressive line up though!! Alan (loc944) got to drive my turbo 15 feet so expect to see his lux on pistonheads soon...........................................

Oh and well done Alasdair, I think we ended up fixing getting a 150 point PPI conducted on Mr Simkin's turbo, Steve's (Scrichton) fuel problem fixed, complete suspension change inc. hub refresh and spacer removal on Steve's car, 3 digital clocks resurrected and adjustable drop links and strut brace onto mine to end the day!

Stuart

Just to echo the comments above - had a great day, met some great friendly new people - good chat, excellent bacon butties and good advice despite a 200 mile round trip in the persisting rain! Thanks everyone!

Sorry I didn't make it today guys, sounds like you had a great time. Those kind of days are better than sitting in a field talking about what you might do. We should have more of them. :D

Absolutely gutted that I missed this. Been looking forward to it for weeks. But I only have myself to blame, far to much alcohol on Saturday night results in Rory not rising till 2pm and sitting on the couch feeling sorry for myself.
It looked like a quality wee meet though and and I shall make sure Im at the next one.

Great turnout yesterday, 20 like minded enthusiasts throughout the day, with 12 944's and 1 968, plus 7 of Alasdairs and another of Simkins already at the garage. So thats 20 944's.

Thanks to Alasdair for Venue and technical expertise, his assistant spannerman Stuart, Frenchy for the Stove, Colin for the Bacon and anyone else who brought rolls, cakes, biscuits etc.

Alan.

As others have already said , great day despite the weather and in my case good to meet people for the first time and put faces to names - I'm definitely up doing this on a regular basis . Myself and steven managed to both get lost within about 30 seconds of leaving alasdair's compound and had to resort to using my sat nav to find the main road . Aside from that the journey back to aberdeen seemed to go pretty quickly although i suspect this might have been because i kept nodding off behind the wheel  . Now , can i interest anyone in a doughnut ?

Hi all, next Scottish meet will be Sunday November the 6th for all interested. I plan to do a demo about belt changing on a car so if anyone needs a set done, let me know. First come first served! Usual start time of 9am!

Hi Alasdair

My wee care is well overdue for a belt change, I will get a full belt kit with pulleys etc. It would be great if you can do the work. I wont be drinking the night before this time....promise.

Rory
