battery change

hi,i want to fit a new battery to my 964 tiptronic although the battery seems o/k, it is 6yrs old as i dont want to be caught out with it. when changing the battery will it loose any data from computer memory when uncoupled or create any problems cheers

if your car has an on board computer you will probably lose data , but they don't do much anyway
