Topic revival

Looking at what you have put for the front for a '90 model.
Does that mean neutral camber on the front? What does the +/-10' mean? Tolerance of +/- 1 degrees?
Cheers

Nope they are in minutes is -20' +/- 15' so -5' to -35' but difference left to right no more than 10' left to right.

Right ok, so the front camber should be 0 degrees give or take 1/6th of a degree?

err confused 60' = 1 Degree. So why not just use them, you wouldn't normally use fractions of a degree. I normally bang in as much negative as I can get making both sides equal normally around 1.25-1.5 or similar, then set up everything else afterwards. This fives best cornering but may make it A. a little twitchy in a straight line & B. increase tyre wear. This is for standard ride height.

What I mean is 10' = 1/6 of degree ( 0.166 degrees) ? Why manfacturers use a mix of decimal degrees and minutes is beyond me! Its like saying distance in metres and inches.
Really the main thing I want to know is , is the original setting for the front camber zero degrees (neutral, niether negative or positive)

No it is negative 20' then the tolerances are as I said & left to right differences as I put above. :?
Porsche aren't using any mix purely minutes. I used decimal Degrees because my Longacre Camber gauge does the same.
But 1.25 Degrees = 75 minutes, Negative in this case.

Too be honest your confusing the life out of me now :? Lol.At the risk of really getting on your nerves, I need to ask what is the the camber for the front in decimal? Are you saying 1.25 neg degrees or is that just an example?

Not sure what you're confused about? -20' is -0.3 Degs as in / ----- \ which is negative, i.e. bottom of tyre sticks out further than top.

As for the -1.25Degs read what I wrote above about what I do which will improve cornering.

Thanks but I know what neg and positive camber is. Its just the fact I'm used to setting to decimal degrees (as with a lot of camber gauges) and this is the first time I have heard of minutes. For example on my sprint mini I have 1.5 degree neg camber on the front and neutral on the back. I know how to set camber, I just want to know what the standard setting is (in decimal degrees)for a 944 s2. I'm in the process of doing a Koni conversion so I will be taking the suspension apart and I want to make sure I put it back as Porsche intended. I'm only interested in keeping things as standard as poss. I am not interested in increasing or decreasing the camber from the standard settings.

Errr shame you didn't say that earlier. That is basic maths so 20' is 1/3rd of 60' or 0.33 Deg . 15' is 1/4 of 60' so 0.25 Deg

OK start again

Front 0' +/-10', max difference l to r 20'
Rear -45 +/-20', max difference l to r 30'

How I read this is, I set my front camber to 0 degrees (neutral) with a tolerance of 10' = 1/6 of 60' or 0.166 Degree?

edit.

Thanks but got the info form PCGB in the end
