Wanted a set of part worn Toyo R888 tyres.

225/45/17 and 255/40/17

Did you get any where with this?
I am keen on a set of these for my 944 turbo. I only use the car in the dry as it leaks in the wet , but these seem ideal....

Aren't they track tyres RAv? wont last long on the road.

Thats true Rich, but my car currently covers about 2k miles per year with its greatest mileage outing being the pilgrimage to Goodwood festival of speed.

I want to try them to see if the car corners on rails.

To be honest Rav they tyre sidewall construction is really hard and unless on a nice smooth track you crash from one bump/pothole to another. I changed to Falken 452s like a lot of other people have and it transformed the car. Track tyres wear out in no time and are only good in hot weather, put them on a cold road and I found they just don't work. Just my two penneth worth for you to consider.

Thanks Andy, I will research this over the summer and buy the tyres in the winter ready for next season.
