Hello!

So I finally get to make my first post on TIPEC. As you can probably see I "joined" nearly a year ago and had all kinds on registration trauma that finally got sorted out with the aid of Jim; many thanks!

So here goes with the Porsche Anonymous bit.

"Hello, my name is Glenn and I drive a 944 S2"

There... done it. You have no idea what a relief it is to get that off my chest!

Photos? Oh OK... here are some images of what I (sometimes) affectionately refer to as "The Red Shed".







It spends most of its life these days trundling to and from race tracks at the weekends. I hasten to add that I don't race; I watch and take photos.

I live in Yateley but well spotted on the location, it is by the canal in Fleet.

Red is indeed the fastest colour of course. Lindsay's only jealous cuz he swapped his fast one for a much slower silver one.

Thanks for sorting it out! I did try to get it to work a few times since registering, mainly after I saw an interesting post I wanted to reply to, and it kept "not working". It seems the forum really doesn't like my email address (or my email system doesn't like the forum). I will try to swap to another email address with a different provider now I am in and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for all the comments on the car photos. I will add a caution though, "never judge a book by its cover" and in the same vein "never judge a photographers' car by photos of it". Some minor imperfections have mysteriously gone missing from the photos as displayed

Some of those minor imperfections are being sorted out next week... some will stay.

I can understand people who like to make their cars concours and show quality but that's never where I want mine to be. A "tidy", drivable, example is where it stops. Last years' "classic" insurance policy had a limit of 7,500 miles on it and I am struggling to stay under it. I enjoy driving the car too much.

Shame photoshop can't sort your car for real

It would certainly make things a lot cheaper
