This whole subject makes me really sad. :( Could the both of you please buy another 944. I'm having real trouble letting my 944 go. It is a real shed, and I have a really good 928 and still can't let it go.

Well insurance monies have come through and Blue Rocket has gone from my life, no more constant trips to JMG with oil leaks and smoke pouring out the back woo hoo :bounce: until I start it all again which no doubt I will :blackeye:
For all you guys who asked about parts the cars gone to a salvage yard but he didn't know where  and it would probably be sold at auction as a repairable cat c so keep a look out on the auction websites and you may see the old girl still refusing to be put down and may live again  Be pretty hard not to recognise her
Thanks again to all for your support and I'll keep in touch.

Sorry guys but I've gone Japanese and bought a V-spec GTR (wait for the Datsun ridicule :blackeye: ) I still love Porsches and may return so hope you'll still let me into the BBQ Nick. Love to catch up with you guys and support the charity auctions but for now I've a Skyline smile from ear to ear as this car actually works  Couple of pics for you so still give me a wave if you see me

Looks like a great car, come and meet up with Southern Region anytime. We will try and dig out a "My other car was a Porsche" sticker!

Hey guys,
I'm going to be in the area on the 17th and I will probably have the 944 with me - is it open entry or do I need tickets or what?

David

Southern Regions main event on 17th July is the Driving Tests run by the IAM at Portland. You are welcome, no tickets required but please let me know if you wish to attend.

Nick

David
Have to talk to Nick about getting on the TIPEC/PCGB stand if there is one this year? not sure if there is one but you'll need to arrive early and stay until after 4pm as movement in the grounds are closed during the event. There's a public classic parking area where you can just arrive and park up which is what I'm doing, you can arrive and leave when you want then although the show is huge and takes all day to go round and then there's the gardens and castle aswell if you want. Supercar section was great last year with my all time favourites Ferrari F40 and Lambo Diablo + some other minor cars like Murcialago's, Noble's, new Jag XFR and about 50 Ferrari's on the club stand!

So who was there?
We drifted through mid morning for a look around, no 944 with me mind. Had a look at the Tipec stand, everyone was eating cake!
Square dash lux in the car park for sale at 750 looked in decent shape, anyone here or anyone buy it?

Gave a push start to a atranded Alvis on the way in and watched a GT40 on the way out. Nearly bought that Airstream motorhome (well not really but it was different!) in the auction.
Not a single Caterham 21 to be seen :-(

Not a bad bash at all - bit steep to get in maybe - but a great setting.

Sorry David I've just got out of hospital on Friday and was to weak to go, it's been a lousy year so far health wise. Weather looked lousy aswell. Any pics at all as I was really annoyed I couldn't attend.
