 Post subject: A very special 944 Turbo

This 944 Turbo is probably as close as you can get to buying a new one. Listed below is all the work carried out on it to get her to this standard.

Interior Stunning full leather re-trim by Southbound auto trimmers (Porsche re-trim specialists - the best). Seats are all electric and include electric lumbar support option. All Carpets as new. Momo sports steering wheel (leather)
Body Complete (stripped to bare metal) body shell and engine bay re-spray. Doors and bonnet painted separately. The paintwork, panel gap and alignment is flawless and better than when new .It took over one year of project on body and paint alone . All glass unmarked. New window lifter motors. New headlight lifter mechanism. New indicator lenses etc. 968 Spoiler.
Running Gear
18 inch GT3 wheels. Fully rebuilt front and rear suspension using 95% OE parts. New steering ball joints and track rods, new OE front wishbones (Not reconditioned - £ 600!) Brakes up-rated with fully refurbished 944S calipers and disks. Every single brake line renewed. Braided stainless Brake hoses. Front and rear suspension, stripped, cleaned and painted in two pack paint or re-plated to original specification where applicable.




Engine and Transmission
Engine is 100 % oil tight and does not burn Oil . Engine running on tick over - full oil pressure.
New Water pump, New OE belts and all tension / idler pulleys. Cylinder head rebuilt with new valve guides and seals. New H/D clutch and master / slave cylinders. New radiator. New bearings fitted in transmission torque tube. All Coolant hoses replaced. Wastegate rebuilt , New bearings and seals in Turbo. Air con system fully rebuilt and operational. Rebuilt gear shift linkage. New rear drive shafts and CV joints. New synchro rings in gearbox (Gearbox has Limited slip diff) . All metal bright work in engine bay renewed or re-plated to original spec. (104,000 miles)
This car was purchased by me in 2007 and I have tried to maintain it to its fully restored condition. This car is never driven in the wet is fully garaged and covered when not being shown. Last year it covered 700 miles
It as been shown several times winning best Classic Sports car 1970-1986 at the Transtar classic car show at Himley hall when showed against over 70 other spots cars of that time and over 400 cars at the show. Took 3rd best car in show at Baggeridge classic car show and was invited by Porsche onto their stand at the classic car show at the NEC the largest classic car show in the country were you have to be invited a real privilege and proving it is a very special 944.It will be on display at the Porsche Show at Hatton Park Coventry on Sunday the 5th June along with many other Porsches please come along and have a look and ask as many questions as you like. post code for Hatton Part CV35 8XA. Just an update the Turbo one best in its class (front engine Porsche cars)at Hatton today (5th June) judged by Meguiars and Tipec the independant Porsche club. Thanks to everyone who came and spoke.

This car has an independent valuation and insurance right off value against it of £12000 showing that it is worth at a minimum 12k. If you are interested please feel free to ask any questions.
