New member advice, please.
Thinking of buying an 88 924S on Friday if condition is right.
3 options: leave it standard
Put fibreglass bonnet, front wings, front and rear bumpers on it.
Turn it into a CGT replica.
I know of kits from EMC and Pro-9 for latter 2 options.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Cost is a factor, but so is performance.
Huw.

I think you have answered your own question...If cost is a factor leave it standard....

Modifying will cost 3x your best estimate.....If you skimp it will look NAF and end up unfinished.

If you have deep pockets or loads of skill and vision then go for it......if not enjoy it for what it is 8)

Hello and welcome, if performance is the main thing, work on engine, service, plugs, dissy cap and leads, then maybe a performance air filter and engine remap, lightening the car by removing interior weight is just a start without too much cost, personally i'd leave the body as standard, but thats just my twopenneth

Unmolested 924s are getting rarer & TBH I'd leave it standard.
E Bay has occassional molested cars on there & they generally look grim unless very well done.

Many thanks for the feedback-there seems to be a theme. Leave it and enjoy it. Thanks everyone.

I know I'm pitching in a bit late, but standard gets my vote too.
